About Me

I am a ceramic artist raised in Minnesota, now living in Colorado, where I grew up in a creative household. I was always more interested in how things worked and were made than the art itself. I was the kid taking things apart, drawn to process and structure before I ever thought of myself as an artist.

In my late 20s, I was introduced to woodfiring and everything clicked. The collision of technical process, craftsmanship, and unpredictability was the first time I saw a form of self-expression in what I was creating. It wasn’t just about making something functional anymore—it was about exploring materials, fire, atmosphere, and my own relationship to process.

I currently work part time as a pottery instructor at a community studio teaching wheel throwing classes of all levels as well as workshops focused on wood/soda firing.
